Our client is looking for Checker to work on-site in Windsor On.

These positions will be full-time, Wages will be negotiated and based on the candidates’ experience. This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established automotive company, one of North America’s top material Handling solutions provider.

The requirements are for experienced checker with a minimum of 03 years’ experience. (Recent graduate students without actual field experience, will NOT be considered)

• Checkers review and mark-up design drawings for correction by the designer / detailer. They act as the quality control for engineering drawings before being sent to customer.

Job duties

A Checker’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understanding of advanced drawing and editing functions within the CAD programs.
• Review assembly & detail drawings and to ensure the compliance to standard drawing practices, customer specifications and industry standards.
• Receiving direction and interface with projects leaders, managers, and engineering team.
• Maintaining meeting and communication notes as well as project management schedule for checking and employee evaluations.
• Maintaining the project file and documenting of checks and corrective actions.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, to answer questions or provide corrective steps regarding project designs & details.
• Understanding of blueprint reading and industry standard drafting practices is required.
• Understanding of manufacturing and assembly practices and procedures is required.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering / College certificate in Engineering and/or relevant experience is an asset.
• AutoCAD - 2D/3D & Autodesk Inventor - specific knowledge and experience is an asset.
