Job Descriptions:

  • Lead maintenance initiatives in coordination with Engineering to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and performance of all plant equipment and systems.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through data analysis, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop and apply technical solutions to reduce downtime, improve maintenance response, and optimize production throughput.
  • Champion new technologies, methodologies, and tools that align with lean principles and support Operational Excellence objectives.
  • Act as a key member of the OPEX team, contributing engineering insight to strategic initiatives, value stream mapping, and performance metrics tracking (OEE, MTTR, MTBF).
  • Design and lead kaizen events focused on equipment performance, workflow efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Standardize maintenance processes based on engineering practices, ensuring they support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop predictive and preventive maintenance strategies that extend asset life and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to align maintenance and engineering improvements with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Use data-driven tools to identify trends and proactively address equipment performance issues.
  • Evaluate and implement capital projects for upgrades, new equipment, and automation in partnership with engineering and operations.
  • Mentor and develop technical skills of the maintenance team in engineering practices, problem-solving, and modern technologies.

Job Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a related Engineering Degree (mechanical, electrical, integrated, industrial, manufacturing or process)
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience leading maintenance activities within a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly relay and interpret information for various staff and contractors
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in the immediate, short, medium and long term
  • Proficiency using MS Outlook, MS Office and at least one CMMS
  • Proven problem-solving ability and ability to bring about improvement with and through others
  • Past success leading change
