Program Scheduler
Job Description
Our client is looking for Program Scheduler to work on-site in Windsor On.
These positions will be full-time, Wages will be negotiated and based on the candidates’ experience.
This is a great opportunity to work within a well-established automotive company, one of North America’s top material Handling solutions provider.
The requirements are for experienced Program Scheduler with a minimum of 03 years’ experience. (Recent graduate students without actual field experience, will NOT be considered)
- As a Program Scheduler, you will work closely with our Senior Management and our Scheduling Team.
Job duties
1. Management, coordination, and development of detailed project timing for trades for installation of machining & assembly lines from suppliers to meet customer launch deadlines.
2. Work with our customer’s program leader & lead engineers to create a procurement plan for major new program content in Excel and/or MS Project.
3. Work with our customer’s program leader to create program summary timing plan for major equipment content in Excel,
4. Work with our customer’s program leader & lead engineers to put forth major assets into the summary timing plan in Excel.
5. Match major assets on department , layouts to timing content.
6. Match timing content to internal equipment verification application.
7. Transfer timing plan into MS Project for individual commodities / departments that will be official database for timing for life of program.
8. Manage timing updates with customer’s lead engineers & suppliers and maintain MS Project database with baseline / forecast / actual timing.
9. Work independently to obtain timing updates from relevant personnel and companies.
10. Generate reports using internal applications.
11. Upload timing to internal reporting applications.
12. Identify and proactively report potential issues with forecasted timing versus established baseline.
Requirements and skills:
1. Field experience with MS Project software a MUST.
2. Fluent with MS Excel and MS Word.
3. Fluent with MS Power Point
4. An understanding on project timing logic and critical path planning.
5. Able to think logically to make quick decisions.
6. Graphic background an asset.
7. Minor AutoCAD such as plotting and editing existing drawings for presentations.
8. Blueprint reading (mostly manufacturing CAD layouts).
9. Understanding of process flow and material handling.
10. Good communication skills (email, phone, Webex and in person).
11. Must be willing to work overtime as required
12. Legally able to work in Canada – no visa sponsorship available
