You will step into a complex system of software and hardware and take over testing. Initially you will be the tester. You will set priorities, schedules, procedures, and standards. Then you will start hiring your team. There will probably be a couple of testers that report to you.
You will be given some basic instruction, then digging into the system yourself. There is very little system documentation. Yes, there has always been testing, but you need to bring order and reliability to the process. The system does not lend itself to automated testing systems.
Are you able to dig into systems and make decisions on your own?
