Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Mid-West, NE, or Mid-Atlantic

Job Description:

▪ Sell solutions to a set of assigned companies from targeted industries or in a dedicated sales region

▪ Responsible for acquisition of new customers, market research and development of existing clients for North America,

including cold calling, meeting arrangements and presentations

▪ Achieve the sales quota with new customers

▪ Drive the sales cycle, focus on value proposition, close deals and support the customer further

▪ Consulting of large industrial customers during the execution of transportation RFP’s

▪ Participation in industry conferences, seminars, and other related events for the best business outcome

▪ Strong will and the necessary energy to win new large customers and to develop and to grow existing customers

▪ Establish C-Level contacts and develop new sales opportunities

▪ Use modern sales tactics and an analytical approach when approaching new customers and position solutions with a clear business case

▪ Involve supporting resources (i.e. Presales, Executives and other functions) at the right time to ensure a successful sales

process

▪ Show short-term success while ensuring a medium- and long-term perspective to sustainable sales growth and success

▪ Use a CRM-System to ensure accurate Pipeline Development and Forecasting

Requirements:

▪ 5+ years of proven track-record in Logistics/Freight, or alternatively B2B direct sales, preferably of complex IT/cloud

solutions

▪ Logistics and / or procurement experience is a strong plus

▪ Proven track record of overachieving targets

▪ Proficiency in your approach to cold outreach

▪ Good qualification competences to identify Prospect’s needs

▪ Ability to identify customer’s needs and drive an opportunity

▪ Objections’ handling and strong negotiation skills

▪ Team-player and collaborative problem solver, who takes ownership and looks for solutions

▪ Willing and able to travel up to 20%
