Structural Engineer
Job Description
Our client is looking for a professional Engineer Structural to work on-site in Windsor- ON
These positions will be full-time, Wages will be negotiated and based on the candidates’ experience.

The requirements are for experienced Professional Engineer Structural with a minimum of 05 years’ experience. (Recent graduate students without actual field experience, will NOT be considered)
- Structural engineers plan, design, develop and manage projects for the construction or repair of buildings, structures, powerhouses, airports, railways, rapid transit facilities, bridges, and transportation services. They may also specialize in foundation analysis, building and structural inspection, surveying, geomatics, and municipal planning.
Job duties
- Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
- Work on major projects such as building structural support and structural steel fabrications.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
- Interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work.
- Conduct field services.
- Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, analyses, impact studies or other investigations.
- Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data for development of reports.
- Act as project or site supervisor.
- Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for projects.
- Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs and calculations.
- Complete the design calculations required to produce a safe and functional product.
- Review and certify and stamp engineering drawings and documents.
- Advanced drawing and editing functions within the CAD programs.
- Producing assembly & detail drawings and studies using standard drawing practices, customer specifications and industry standards.
- Requirements and skills:
- Must possess an understanding of manufacturing and assembly practices and procedures.
- Must be able to receive and provide direction and interface with projects leaders, managers, and engineering team.
- Maintaining meeting and communication notes within the project file and documenting studies and reports.
- Travel to project sites for field walk-throughs and checking of existing systems, supports & structures to aid in designs for new and changes within layouts, and possible tie-ins.
- Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, answer questions regarding project designs & details and respond to customer requests.
- Must have a university degree in Structural Engineering and be currently licensed with the regulatory authority within a province or state.
