Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

Position Overview
Our client is looking for a Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to ensure our Digital Business Transformation success. This individual will have accountability for working with other SME’s and Domains to deliver a sustainable future focused architecture. This architect will provide technical strategy and supporting IT frameworks to guide the successful design, deployment and operations of IT solutions within key programs and operates with little supervision in a complex environment. This role will be key contributor to the current Business Transformation effort.

Essential Functions

  • You will help our Digital Product Managers plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments
  • You will champion the architecture governance processes
  • You will lead the application of emerging infrastructure technologies, ensure technical alignment and facilitate technical solution delivery
  • You will be accountable for the long-term success of your infrastructure and maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability and capacity, demonstrating a commitment to quality
  • You will provide vision and successfully influence the direction of complex key technical elements in your domain and others
  • You will be established as a key domain technical leader at the Enterprise level
  • You will embrace and encourage an environment of constructive and profitable challenge.
  • You will constantly seek the input of others and always respectfully contribute to the success of your colleagues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Previous experience working with the cloud (AWS strongly preferred)
  • ERP experience with a large company (SAP, Microsoft OR Siemens Platforms)
  • Manufacturing and/or Engineering domain experience
  • Digital Transformation architecture experience
  • A profitable customer and consumer first always mindset
  • 5+ years of previous experience as an architect or equivalent in a global company with a minimum of 25,000 users
  • Must have a digital mindset and be able to work in non-traditional global teams and take managed risks
  • Solid understanding of the Infrastructure lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business customers, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker, highly organized
  • Resourceful and independent; willing to accept and give meaningful challenge
  • Understands complexity and systems thinking
  • Action oriented and hands on
  • Demonstrates outcome-based thinking skills
  • Proven influencer of technology vision/direction
  • Be the liaison to the best technical resources available in the marketplace for your domain

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related Master’s degree
  • Global experience will be viewed favorably

Travel Requirements – 30% with year one periods of travel to up to 14 consecutive days outside of the United States. Must be able to legally travel to China, EU, Singapore etc.
