Job Description

Large and rapidly growing investment advisory firm based in Century City is seeking a proven and highly motivated Senior Portfolio Manager with a track record of success in cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as with CPAs and other centers of influence. Our firm is one of the oldest and largest independent RIA firms in Los Angeles, with approximately $1.6 billion in assets under management. Our clients include high-net-worth individuals and families, retirement plans and non-profits.

The primary responsibilities of this position include developing new client relationships through existing channels of business, networking with centers of influence (CPAs, trust attorneys, pension administrators),and becoming actively involved in Schwab's Advisor Network program to obtain client referrals. In addition to developing new clients, the Senior Portfolio Manager will participate in designing and implementing client portfolios, wealth management planning, and ongoing client maintenance.
In addition to working closely with clients and prospects, the BD/Portfolio Manager will also have an opportunity to serve on the firm's Investment Committee.

Qualifications Required
Bachelors degree, minimum of 7+ years business development experience within the
investment management industry and 10+ years overall industry experience. Must have a track record of success in developing and retaining relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families. Also, must have an active network of CPAs and other professionals who refer business to you. Must be highly motivated and personable with strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Must have a depth of knowledge of investments, the investment industry and the financial markets.

Desirable: Transferable book of business and professional certification (CFA, CFP, other).
