Construction Superintendent

General Job Duties

  • Directly report to General Superintendent
  • Manage multiple job sites and ensure all work being performed per specifications
  • Constant contact with the PM to ensure schedule, cost and production is met and to anticipate management required with other third parties
  • Confer with supervisory personnel and subcontractors executing work procedures, ensuring correct workmanship
  • Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers to improve construction methods
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
  • Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
  • Minimize unexpected costs and non-commodities in quality
  • Update PM and General Superintendent on progress and activities on job sites

General Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years of relevant construction experience
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Federal experience a plus
  • Strong Commercial Construction working experience particularly in renovations
  • MUST be able to obtain government clearance to Kennedy Space Center and Patrick AFB.
  • OSHA 10 or above
  • Keen attention to detail
