Build/Configuration Manager:

The ideal candidate will be capable to own, evolve and maintain a configuration management (CM) processes across a large distributed software development organization. The person will manage and maintain continuous integration build\development environments and corresponding scripts which control those processes for building .NET-based products. The candidate will define and deploy source control management strategy as well as other processes and tools required for a successful configuration management in a Medical Devices development environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define CM (DevOps) processes and best practices and roll them out to the department
  2. Design, develop, unit test and implement build automation scripts (TeamCity) including environment configuration validation processes.
  3. Setup, baseline, maintain and support various development and build environments.
  4. Determine branching strategy and maintain branches for various components, products and product lines (Subversion, Git)
  5. Automate development process by introducing new tools, scripts and manage their life cycle and validation.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ yeas in software development and/or configuration management
  • Advanced Build Automation for .Net using TeamCity/Jenkins/Hudson. (Teamcity preferred, nAnt).
    • The Teamcity setup we have is very advanced. We have over 100 TC agents and sophisticated build chains.
    • Advanced knowledge of Git and Source control systems usage, branching strategies.
    • We are moving to git at this time.
    • Experience with development and deployment of CM processes and tools
    • Working with Virtual machines and build management on virtual machines (VMware preferred).
    • Managing configurations for multiple build environments
    • OS administration and scripting experience (Windows is a must, Linux desired)
    • Experience with test automation tools and strategies is an asset
    • Strong communication skills.
