Senior Security Engineer

Currently seeking a Remote Senior Security Engineer for a full-time/permanent position with a leader in high-performance Cloud Infrastructure. As the Senior Security Engineer, you will work with a small team to secure the Platform backend and complex enterprise network.

Location: Remote (must be available during West Coast / PST hours)

As the Senior Security Engineer you will:

• Deploy and maintain various security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DDOS, etc)
• Monitor threat environment, keeping up to date with security trends
• Act as SME for the Incident Response team, handling escalations related to security related issues
• Prioritize and remediate security issues
• Ensure availability, confidentiality and the integrity of the cloud infrastructure
• Audit existing security standards
• Collaborate with various teams throughout the organization to research and develop security initiatives required for projects

What you bring:

• 5+ years in Security Engineering
• In-depth experience with Linux and hardening of hosts (RPM, Debian based), services, apps
• Knowledgeable in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Thorough understanding of networking concepts (BGP, MPLS, VRF, etc.), routers, switches and firewalls
• Experience with security frameworks (ISO, HIPAA, PCI, NIST, etc.)
• Ansible (preferred)
• Strong work ethic, ambition to further security related knowledge
