Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  • Partner with Sales

    • Ensure appropriate internal & external expectations are in place in terms of product readiness and availability of raw material(s) supply.
    • Co-develop initial demand outlook to define initial material orders and long-term supply plans.
    • Serve as single point of contact for supply planning and readiness.
    • Review internal operational resources and ensure capacity constraints, processes, and equipment needs are reviewed with cross-functional teams.
  • Own supply chain readiness for new product launches.

    • Define First Time Make (FTO) and supply timing for various raw materials.
    • Identify supply complexities (capacity, making constraints).
      • Ensure leadership awareness & appropriate planning requirements are in place.
      • Identify and communicate areas of deficiencies for FTM’s, resolving barriers for successful product launch, working with cross-functional teams.
    • Lead decision-making process for stocking plans based on customer priority, expected demand, and supply complexity.
    • Ensure raw materials are set up in MRP system and the demand planning system accurately reflects product needs.
  • Analyze new product formulas to determine:

    • Raw material supply readiness.
    • Production timing & capacity requirements.
  • Lead the procurement readiness work for new materials.

    • Ensure new material set-up occurs in line with business requirements.
      • Pricing, payment terms, MOQ information up-to-date in MRP.
      • Required regulatory & quality documents are received from suppliers.
      • Coordinate across functions to ensure readiness process is completed on-time.
    • Identify potential issues and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.
    • When required, will assist in securing materials for manufacturing of products, and/or sourcing of new materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Potential travel up to 5%-10% on an as-needed basis.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, accounting, economics, or supply chain. 3+ years’ experience in a planning role in a high SKU FMCG environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Strong scheduling and ability to analyze production capacities, cost centers, and P&L. Previous experience, 3+ years, in working with commercial teams on demand planning as well as demonstrated experience in sourcing & supplier management.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Extensive knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, MRP). Extremely proficient with Excel with overall proficiency with Windows operating system including Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
