We are delighted to share with you the exciting Managing Director of Business Lending search we are conducting for our long-time Client, BDC Capital Corporation (“BDC Capital” bdcnewengland.com). Based in Wakefield, MA, BDC Capital is the oldest business development corporation in the US. Having invested over $2 billion in thousands of companies throughout New England, our Client is recognized locally and nationally as a leader and innovator in business lending and capital investment.

In this newly created role, the Managing Director and their team will continue to offer traditional ABL loans, while also offering complimentary products including junior secured loans, straight subordinated debt, cash flow loans, enterprise value loans, unitranche loans, venture debt, factoring, merchant banking, and purchase order financing.

This executive will report directly to BDC Capital’s President & CEO, with excellent career upside. A talented banker with strong business development skills, credit knowledge, and entrepreneurial mind set will make a major impact on the success of BDC Capital, beyond Business Lending. This is an excellent alternative to traditional banking!

Key priorities include:
  • Oversee all aspects of the Business Lending program. Fully implement new Business Lending offerings to complement BDC’s traditional ABL Lending products.
  • Serve as Business Lending’s primary Business Outreach Officer and Senior Lender.
  • Increase Business Lending outstandings to $100 million over three years.
  • As a hands-on “player coach,” manage a team of five talented lending professionals.
  • Be a key “face” of BDC Capital throughout New England.

The successful candidate will bring:
  • Demonstrated success leading/managing a commercial lending team/organization.
  • Proven business development/sales and/or marketing success in a lending environment.
  • Excellent credit skills and proven success within an ABL and/or Cash Flow Lending environment.
  • Experience creating plans and translating them into measurable objectives (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, partnering, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • An appreciation for creatively providing financial solutions to a wide range of borrowers.
