Position Overview

The Site Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for a large-scale photovoltaic project located in, Trinidad & Tobago. The project spans a capacity of 122MW, emphasizing high-quality standards throughout its construction and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance Planning
    • Develop and oversee comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) Plans for the photovoltaic project to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  2. Quality Control Monitoring
    • Create and manage quality control test plans for photovoltaic installations.
    • Supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of critical equipment to ensure specifications are met.
    • Monitor the quality and reception of construction materials on-site.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Interpret, assess, and manage test results, providing detailed reports to project stakeholders.
    • Conduct internal audits to maintain consistent quality across various projects.
  4. Certifications and Compliance
    • Oversee the certification and approval process of products and construction elements.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, along with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
    • Manage non-conformities and incidents, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  5. Measurement and Testing Equipment
    • Monitor the calibration and performance of measurement and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
  6. Project Coordination
    • Assist in coordinating quality control efforts with the project team, suppliers, and contractors.
    • Engage in proactive problem-solving to ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications & Requirements

Academic Background

  • Technical Engineering Degree or higher qualification.
  • Training as a Senior Technician in Prevention of Occupational Risks (PRL) is advantageous.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in quality control, non-destructive testing, and interpretation of test results.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and photovoltaic installations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) is preferred.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality control within photovoltaic projects or civil construction.
  • Proven track record in managing quality for large-scale renewable energy projects.

Languages

  • High proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Other Requirements

  • Valid B1 driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
