Position Summary
Assists in the set-up, operation and maintenance of offset web presses that produce ink on paper printed material following
standard work practices to ensure safe, efficient, timely and accurate production of superior quality finished materials.
Essential Functions
· Read and understand instructions of job ticket.
· Assist in the set-up, operation and performing of routine maintenance of offset web presses and other auxiliary
equipment.
· Check web at start of shift.
· Set up and operate stackers.
· Load and stack off of stackers and sheeters in a manner that preserves quality of finished product.
· Remove and hang blankets and plates.
· Rule up sheets on sheeter forms.
· Know cut off and steering controls.
· Work on register when necessary.
· Notify Press Operator and Operations Manager of maintenance needs.
· Assist in troubleshooting machine problems.
· Perform material handling functions related to the job assignment.
· Relieve other members of press crew when necessary.
· Complete all required administrative duties that pertain to the daily operation of equipment.
· Utilize appropriate information management system(s) for all tasks related to the job and production time.
· Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
· Maintain inventory of supplies for press; advise Operations Manager when short on supplies.
· Assist in other departments, on other machines, and other crewmembers as needed.
· Work overtime as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education High School diploma or GED.
Experience 6 months previous experience in a printing environment or participation in a vocational
program preferred.

Certifications & Licenses None
Other Must be capable of working between eight and twelve hours per day, and up to seven
days per week;
Specific knowledge of printing and graphic arts gained either through formal study or job
experience preferred
