Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Manufacturing Plastic Mold Injection Maintenance Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plastic mold injection machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on plastic mold injection machines and related equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine performance.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control issues on plastic mold injection machines.
- Repair or replace defective components to restore machine functionality.
- Collaborate with operators and production staff to identify and resolve machine-related issues.

Calibration and Adjustment:
- Calibrate and adjust plastic mold injection machines to maintain precision and accuracy in molding operations.
- Ensure all safety and performance standards are met.

Mold Maintenance:
- Perform maintenance on injection molds, including cleaning, repairing, and adjusting molds to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Work with the tool room to coordinate mold repairs and modifications.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Report any significant issues or recurring problems to the Maintenance Manager.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving machine reliability and performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to maintenance procedures.

Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding equipment maintenance and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic mold injection machine maintenance or a related field. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems of plastic mold injection machines.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and mold maintenance.
- Familiarity with various plastic mold injection machine brands and models.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise work and ensure high-quality maintenance.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to identify and address issues promptly and effectively.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate depends on experience.
- Senior Technicians: $35+ per hour.
