Forge Consulting Group, representing our esteemed client is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Project Estimator and Proposal Writer for mechanical engineer services. This role is pivotal in estimating projects and crafting proposals for new project opportunities, particularly focusing on material handling conveyor systems and structural designs and details.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate projects and develop proposals for new project opportunities.
• Specialize in mechanical engineering, with a focus on conveyor systems such as automotive conveyors, parcel system conveyors, and baggage handling conveyors.
• Proficiency in structural engineering to ensure comprehensive project understanding.
• Collaborate within a team environment, liaising with other managers to discern project requirements and seek necessary knowledge.
• Work closely with the sales manager to discuss proposal scope, schedule, and cost.

Requirements:

• Strong background in mechanical engineering and structural engineering.
• Experience in estimating projects and writing proposals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with potential and existing customers.
• Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines, with an aptitude for recognizing when updates are necessary.
• Willingness to undergo a shadowing period with a current team member for knowledge transfer.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
