Job Title: Human Resources & Marketing Strategist


Our client, leading engineering company, is seeking for a Human Resources and Marketing Strategist to join their team. The qualified candidate will have a relevant work experience, a University Degree or Diploma and the ability to travel between the US and Canada.

With numerous ongoing and upcoming projects, we’re looking to grow our team. We’re looking for a Human Resources professional to join our team!

Your day-to-day might consist of the following:

Recruitment

Manage full-cycle recruitment (determine selection criteria, qualify candidates through resume screening/application review, schedule and conduct interviews with hiring manager, conduct reference checks, prepare job offers).

Work closely with the Department Managers to forecast recruitment needs and develop creative strategies to identify and source hard to find seasonal and other candidates.

Provide orientation on company policies and procedures, and the company culture and environment.

Create and maintain up-to-date job descriptions for existing and new positions.

Create and maintain a market salary grid to refer to assist management with determining the wage or salary of an employee or new hire.

Organize and attend job fairs.

Payroll & Benefits

Prepare and administer the payroll for all company employees, including pay-related information such as T4, etc.

Maintain benefits administration for new and departing employees.

Maintain payroll and HR files for all employees in accordance with statutory requirements.

Implement salary increases in accordance with policies and approval.

Administration

Perform administrative functions including preparing reports, letters, and other administrative tasks as requested.

Oversee the organizations HRIS system.

Maintain the employee policy manual.

Other Responsibilities

Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve the organization’s policies, procedures, and metrics.

Manage, implement and support key HR programs including performance management, learning and development and termination/resignation practices that include sitting in and documenting the progressive disciplinary meeting proceedings and conducting exit interviews, etc.

Provide support and guidance to the Leadership Team relating to employee concerns.

Ensure up-to-date and complete record keeping while maintaining the security and confidentiality of the personnel files.

Support and maintain Staff Wellness programs, including incentives, newsletters, events, etc.

Track all staff training and development activities.

Ensure all HR issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Sit as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Organize team building events to increase employee engagement.

Support/mediate employee disputes.

Marketing

Organize and attend networking events/trade shows to raise brand awareness.

Maintain social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram) and provide monthly social media reports.

Maintain the website, including messaging and regular writing of blog posts.

Arranging up to date marketing materials/company signage.

We are looking for someone who can meet the following requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Human Resources Management or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years experience in an HR role or equivalent.

• Excellent Communication Skills as it relates to HR communication

• Prior experience with marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media is an advantage.

• Ability to identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate is an advantage.
