Our Client, a leading company in roofing solutions is currently seeking a Procurement Coordinator. With attractive pay and benefits package, this position will be ideal for anyone with experience in purchasing or supply chain management.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Coordinator manages the procurement of materials, supplies, and services essential for roofing projects. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of procurement procedures. The procurement coordinator will work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to understand their needs and ensure that all procurement activities align with the company’s strategic goals and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for roofing materials based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing communication and resolution of issues
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage supplier database
Procurement Processes:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies specific to roofing projects
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and receipt of material
Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
  • Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements
  • Resolve any contractual issues or disputes that may arise
Cost Management:
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Track and report on procurement costs, ensuring adherence to project budgets
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize procurement expenditures

        Qualifications:

        • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply chain management, or related field
        • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or roofing industry
        • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
        • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
        • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
        • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
        • Knowledge of roofing materials and industry standards
