Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Position Type: Non-Union, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $25-27/hr + OT

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Overview:

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead to join our team. As a Maintenance Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and facilities through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of machinery.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
  • Execute tear-downs and rebuilds of machinery as needed for maintenance or upgrades.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures to maintain safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain overhead cranes (experience preferred).
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production schedules.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and hand tool operations.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Comfort working at heights of up to 150 feet.
  • Previous experience operating overhead cranes preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, and kneel as necessary.
  • Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to fifty pounds individually, and up to one hundred pounds with team lifting.
  • Must possess adequate vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is not climate-controlled and may involve exposure to foundry conditions.
